Red Devil Lift Off~ Will Burkes at sunset near Hailey.

This is a truly compelling adventure image. The amazining light grabs your attention immediately. The subject at the moment of takeoff represents adventure perfectly. You can feel the rush of adrenaline. The excellent timing of capturing both feet in the air, along with a optimal shutter speed for the action make this photograph stand apart. The composition is spot on. I love the complimentary colors in the sky and foreground, and the vibrant parachute. There's detail in the shadows, not an easy task with the subject being in close proximity to the light source. A very nice adventure image!

A great catch of a fast subject requires a combination of perfect camera settings and lightning quick timing by the photographer. The shutter speed here is excellent, revealing every water droplet. I also appreciate the maintaining of shadow and highlight details. The composition is spot on allowing the subject movement within the frame. The only improvement I would make is to remove the small distraction in the lower right. A great action image!

What immediately caught my eye was the pleasing pastel colors in this image. A great capture of an action packed, story telling scene. The composition is perfect and the pop of color and the unique design of the fire fighting plane is wonderful.
